Star Wars Zero Company Astromech Guide
Astromech is the droid combat class. Any droid built after buying the Droid Repair Bay can take it. More than one can be fielded. Hawks is still required on story missions. M-3VO is related Den staff, not confirmed as an astromech chassis.
Updated

What is confirmed
- Second specialization is locked to Analytics.
- Only class that can take Built-In Comlink.
- 1.1: Enhanced Scanners Invalid Target on controller, fixed; Droid Dismantler Harmony now only on droid deaths.
- Beep Boop (Very High Bond between two astromechs) and Angry Beeps (mission with 4 astromechs) are both 0.1%.
Weapon lean
No primary blaster and no weapon mods. Three utility slots. Cited gear: firebombs, thermal detonators, droid poppers.
Standard — Built-In Comlink
Spends 1 action point to give an ally 1 action point. Later ranks allow more transfers; the final rank removes the cap.
Passive — Extended Storage
Gives limited-use utilities extra charges, eventually 3 uses each.
Standard — Enhanced Scanners
Scans every enemy in range, cutting Defense by 4 and raising hit chance against them by 20%. Last rank can also apply Vulnerable. 1.1 fixed an Invalid Target display on controller.
Standard — Deep Target Scan
Single-target scan out to 24 m that spots the enemy, clears range and smoke penalties, and strips all Evasion.
Ultimate — Coordinate Support
10 Advantage: every ally including the droid gains +1 action point. Upgrades cut the cost; the top rank grants +2 for 6 Advantage.
Ultimate — Defensive Protocol
8 Advantage: all allies +2 Defense for the turn, scaling up to +6.
Passive — Self-Preservation
Returns 1 action point if the droid is hit by Overwatch or Retaliation.
Notes and gaps
- A full droid squad is possible. Custom astromechs are built after the Droid Repair Bay, not as M-3VO.
