STAR WARS Zero Company Steam: Do You Need the EA App?
The Steam release of STAR WARS Zero Company is Steam native and does not require the EA App launcher. That is the direct answer to the installation question; it should not be expanded into an unsupported claim about every account or service requirement.

The short answer
No. The developer launch FAQ says the Steam build is Steam native and does not require the EA App launcher. Start the PC version from Steam rather than installing a second launcher just to open the game.
What this answer covers
This settles the launcher question for the Steam release. It does not promise that every future store build will behave identically, and it does not answer unrelated questions about account linking, telemetry or support tickets. Those details should be checked separately if a later update changes them.
- Steam App ID: 2075800
- PC storefront: Steam
- EA App launcher: not required for the Steam-native release
If Steam does not launch the game
Verify the local installation, restart Steam, and check whether a game update is pending before adding launch arguments. Do not download a third-party launcher workaround just because a forum post assumes one is mandatory. The PC requirements guide and stutter guide cover separate technical problems.
