STAR WARS Zero Company Cover & Positioning Guide

Recent Steam discussion themes mention positioning, while PC Gamer preview documentation treats cover as a battlefield consideration. The sources do not publish a universal cover formula or route.

What the sources actually support

Steam review and discussion snapshots mention positioning and bonding as part of the tactical conversation. PC Gamer’s report also frames cover, sightlines, objectives, and remaining actions as useful battlefield notes.

A careful positioning workflow

Before spending AP, note the objective, visible cover, likely lines of fire, extraction or control areas, and the squad member who must act next. This is a source-safe planning method, not a promise that every map follows the same geometry.

  • Read the objective before committing movement.
  • Record cover and exposed lanes in the current scene.
  • Keep enough actions for the objective state you are trying to change.

No invented cover math

No exact damage reduction, height rule, destructibility value, flank bonus, or guaranteed safe tile is asserted. A later guide should cite the release interface or a reproducible test for each such mechanic.

Keep reports attributable

Positioning advice can be useful even when it begins as a community theme, but the renderer should label that context. Do not present the Steam discussion snapshot or PC Gamer preview as the site’s own hands-on result.
