Units and operatives · official terminology
STAR WARS Zero Company Units & Operatives
The Steam description uses operatives for the squad members and gives scoundrels, astromechs, and a Jedi as examples. It does not publish a complete roster or stat table in the tracked facts.

Use the published term
This site may use units as a search phrase, but operatives is the official terminology recorded by Steam for the deployable squad members. Keeping that wording stable makes later data easier to compare with the source.
Confirmed variety, not a roster count
Steam gives scoundrels, astromechs, and a Jedi as examples of the range of operatives. Those examples do not confirm a total count, a starting lineup, a recruitment order, or a complete species list.
What a unit entry should contain
A release-build operative record should preserve the in-game name, archetype, class or specialization, availability condition, abilities, loadout, and any relationship or injury state with a version label.
- Separate authored story operators from custom-made characters.
- Do not invent a recruitment route or starting statistic.
- Cite each ability or roster fact at the point of publication.
No fabricated unit database
Until those fields are sourceable, this guide records the official category and examples only. A search-friendly “units” page should not become a made-up encyclopedia of names, tiers, or hidden rules.
